Sally Archambault2026 Lenten Devotional

Lord, the news moment by moment turns my heart into a compassionate mess.  I struggle to find ways I can show your love. I struggle to fight for justice.  I struggle to do something that makes this life a better place for all people.

You tell me each day, eat your daily bread – no more- no less; talk to me and give me your concerns; sing using your gift of song to teach, lighten others’ burdens and spread some hope in the world.  Each day I ask you to guide my steps.  Each day I ask you to have my actions show your love to all you put in my path. Each day I have another chance to be alive.

 Thank you God!

As Spring unfolds, a bud at a time I see you all around me.  Daffodils, green hills, full moons, yellow mustard… I see you all around me… lighting my path through appreciating nature- YOU.  Sabbath moments, you provide when I pause…look…breathe deeply.

Thank you God!

As community enfolds me: conversations with Prayer Group friends; rehearsing with singing women; singing at bedsides; walking with friends; taking the risk to engage in socializing my household; supporting old friends and family out of town through zooming; learning how to tell Your stories better through Sundays 4 Kids Godly Play; listening and learning on Sunday mornings; teaching and receiving love during Circle meetings, regional meetings of United Women of Faith; sharing my love of music, which you gifted me, with children during piano lessons and school volunteering.

Thank you God!

Prayers continue:  I praise your Holy Name. I accept your grace so freely given. I am grateful for all your blessings each hour of my life. May I keep listening to your prophets around me, may I keep asking where is the love? May I keep seeking peace as I continue my journey with You.  Amen
