Our Purpose: United Women in Faith seeks to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities.
All women at Napa Methodist Church are United Women in Faith. Each person chooses her level of involvement which may include the following:
Education
UMW Napa United Women in Faith also offers the opportunity for any interested woman to join in our Circles. A Circle is a small group meeting for women to gather for fellowship, spiritual growth, Bible study and study of the UMW United Women in Faith priority areas. All women are welcome. - Attend bimonthly education programs focusing on climate and racial justice.
- Attend workshops & presentations by Los Rios District United Women in Faith
- Participate in National United Women in Faith Reading program
- Attend United Women in Faith Mission U annual classes
- Support Mission Outreach
How to Participate and Support Napa United Women in Faith
- We invite all women and men to make an annual donation to Napa United Women in Faith.
- Shop our church’s Thrift Shop, open Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, to provide monetary and other support for missions on the local, national and worldwide level. (Closed November – January.) All proceeds support our programs and our Mission pledges both locally and globally.
- Attend bimonthly education meetings, which identify needs and encourages each person to make changes to affect the world.
- Help set up for in-person events, provide refreshments, attend events.
Mission Outreach
To provide monetary and other support for missions on the local, national and worldwide level. Some of the organizations that Napa United Women in Faith support include:
- Days for Girls sewing menstruation pads which we have sent to Ethiopia

United Women in Faith Reading Program books are available in our church library. Book titles that have been specially selected by evaluators give us incredible stories and information in the areas of leadership development, social action, education for mission, spiritual growth and nurturing for community, as well as books for children and youth.
