What to Expect

As you arrive on Sunday morning, you will be warmly greeted. Once inside, you will find directions to children’s services. When you enter the sanctuary, you will be handed a brochure or program talking about church news and an outline of the service.

Napa Methodist Church has a 9:30 am service on Sunday morning in the historic Sanctuary. In addition, there is a more casual service at 11:00 am, held in the Asbury room. At both services, ALL are welcome–so please bring whoever you’d like. Children are welcome in the 9:30 service, or they can attend the Sundays for Kids program. The Naomi Family Room is also available with closed circuit television of the service for those with infants and young children who need a place to play or to take a break.

Music is a key element to both services. At the 9:30 am service, you will enjoy hearing our Cathedral Choir, the Bonner Bells, God’s House Band, or special music. During the 11:00 am service, you will enjoy the Fusion Worship Team.

Every week we hear, learn and tell the story of God and God’s people.

Communion is a sacrament practiced the first Sunday of the month in the 9:30 am service and every week in the 11:00 am service. Everyone present is invited to participate in Communion.

We pray in many ways through song, silence, and spoken words. During the 11:00 am service, we also invite people to light candles. If you would like to participate in financial giving, you may place your gifts in the offering plates in the 9:30 am service and in the baskets on tables at the 11:00 am service.

After the 9:30 am service and prior to the 11:00 am service, coffee, cookies and conversation are in abundance. Some small group meetings and a bible study group are also in action on Sunday mornings. The children’s Carol Choir practices between 10:30 and 11:00 am.
