Between Rest and Growth
How does your understanding of God continue to grow?
I see God in my family and friends. Through dialog and critical thinking about books on living a God centered life, I am able to open my mind to other ways of thinking that are important to me and the people I discuss my faith with.
Prayer Group studies books that challenge my faith and allows me to grow and contemplate ways others have lived their faith.
United Women In Faith Circle and Twelve Step groups offer exercises to look at my beliefs of God and how I use that belief daily to inform my choices and activities. Doing God’s will; asking her to guide my steps daily and bring people into my life that can teach, inform and share their faith with me.
Sabbath moments occur when I stop controlling and rest in the grace that my loving God shows me. Peace that passes understanding allows my faith to grow.
Prayer: Dear Creator God, help me to do thy will each hour of the day. The songs I sing, the books I read, the writing and art I do bring me closer to you in the people you put in my life. Help me rest and listen often. Thank you. Humbly, your beloved child, Amen
