Caring for my mom near the end of her ‘aware’ life became difficult for me in that I was isolated from my birth family.
There was conflict about how my mother should spend her final years. I listened to my mother for years, knew her heart, and considered how she lived her life. I tried to do what she wanted. I lost connection with family because of this.
Although prayer has helped me find peace – allowing me to feel love, I struggle sometimes.
