Between Stranger and Neighbor
As I read the Bible passage and the prompt questions, I immediately thought of our Sanctuary Ministry, begun in 2019, and it continues today. This ministry continues to be a blessing for our immigrant families, our congregation, our community, and our partnership with St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
It is so important and needed in our country and the world, especially today. This is certainly what is asked of us in our faith.
Strangers become friends and neighbors as they are welcomed and included and belonged.
Prayer: We are thankful for a ministry that welcomes ALL; a faith that reaches out to ALL; and sustains hope, love, caring and acting to bring this to our world. Amen
