Napa Methoidst Church Walk with Jesus

Walk With Jesus

Sally ArchambaultPastor's Blog

This is a confession of sorts. I signed up to walk in a 1/4 marathon this Sunday morning. I’ve been second-guessing the decision since then… who do I think I am? Didn’t my high school PE teacher despair at my lack of coordination? Haven’t my gym memberships been short-lived New Year’s resolutions? What if when Skyline Park closes at dusk on Sunday I’m still not at the finish line?

Yesterday someone asked me what led me into ministry and I said it was Jesus. I wanted more Jesus, I wanted to walk with Him. I’ve come to realize that when I walk I’m wide open to His Spirit communicating with my spirit. Doubt and fear can’t keep up with us, and eventually they drop out. Walking has become a spiritual practice, a means for me of accessing God’s grace. I’m not sure of the outcome on Sunday morning ~ but I’m grateful for the walk.

In faith, Marylee

PS. Bishop Sally Dyck is giving the message on Sunday and I know you won’t want to miss it!
