Our church is made of many moving parts and members who contribute to our ministry in the community – and the world. Listed below are the Volunteer Leaders of our teams which support our mission. (There are many more volunteers assisting these leaders who are not listed here.)

Don Hitchcock

Audio/Visual Team

This team is responsible for all audio/visual media for the church. This team puts together the media presentations for church services. They coordinate and arrange slides to coincide with each worship service. They operate the sound boards and video equipment, and oversee A/V equipment, including microphones. They also produce podcasts and video clips presented on the church’s website, and manage the church’s Youtube channel.

Bonner Bells

Handbells arguably produce one of the most distinctive and pleasing sounds to the ear. The Bonner Bells have been playing since 1986.

Kathy Martin

Church Council

Planning, goal setting, implementation, and evaluation of ministry to fulfill the mission and vision of the congregation.

Liz Marks

Compassion Ministries

Focuses on helping our neighbors in our local community especially those with food insecurity.

Computer Information Network

This is the church’s Technical Support team. They are responsible for maintenance of church’s computers, network, and software. This team also reviews and researches hardware and software upgrades (back office systems and office support systems).

God’s House Band started in November 1998 to provide contemporary music for services once a month.

Lay Leaders

Responsible for communications with the laity of the church and to serve as a liaison between the clergy and the members of the congregation. Help identify potential leaders within the congregation and in the development and training of those future leaders.

Library

The librarian maintains the church’s library, keeping a log of its contents.

Messy Church

A way of being church for all-ages to join in experiencing fun and faith formative activities. Found throughout the globe. Based on the values of all-ages together, celebration, creativity, hospitality, and centering ourselves in Christ.

6 Board Members

Napa Creek Manor

In the early 1980’s, our church sponsored and saw to fruition the building of Napa Creek Manor; an 84 unit, low income housing complex for seniors of our community. The oversight of this apartment complex continues to be a nine member Board of Directors; six of whom are members of our church and three members from the community.

Prayer Study Group

The group focuses on the Joys and Concerns for the church received from prayer cards submitted during Sunday worship and members’ special requests. Prayers are lifted daily for a week.

Sacristans ensure sacred vessels and vestments are well kept.

Sanctuary Housing and Support

Prepare our Sanctuary Rooms and coordinate necessary supplies for the Refugee/Immigrant sheltering in our community.

Sierra Service Project

Partners with the Sierra Service Project to mobilize high school students as volunteer carpenters, painters, and handy people, serving communities needing assistance across the West Coast.

Sunday Morning Driver

Pick up and drop off church members for Worship on Sunday mornings.

Thrift Store

Run by United Women of Faith and proceeds provides monetary support for missions on the local, national and worldwide level.

Transformation Team Project

Works with teams and internal committees to redevelop church property to support work-force housing.

Help manage and care for the facility and grounds and the organizational life of the congregation.

Seeks to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities.

Weaving Stronger Neighborhoods

Work with Community Organizer Liz Hall to intentionally develop stronger connections with our neighbors.

Welcome Ministry

This team coordinates ushers and greeters for Sunday services. They foster the outward-focused welcoming for church members and visitors alike.
